Jordan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He first started studying music at the age of six with the piano. He then moved on to the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where he majored in voice. He participated in several Black History revues and also in productions such as Suessical the Musical, Sophisticated Ladies, and HSPVA the Musical. Jordan received his Bachelors of Music from Southern Methodist University where he appeared as Mercury in Orpheus in the Underworld, Trio Member 2 in Trouble in Tahiti, and a featured singer in several original musical revues by Hank Hammett. At NYU, Jordan has appeared in the 4@15 production of Katya Stanislavskaya's Eden, Rachel Peter's Octopus Heart, Oh What A Lovely War and the recording of Cece Wen and Kiattipoom Nantanukul's The Wind and the Sun.
